On November 3-8, the head of the Center Mykola Nazarov and information security expert Andriy Lebed participated in the International Autumn School Resilience League 2019. This year the event was held in Tallinn and brought together 60 experts on security issues to discuss aspects of cognitive resilience to combat hostility desinformation.
From October 7 to October 10, 2019, the Sumy Center for Postgraduate Education hosts the first stage of training of local self-government officials of the united territorial communities who have not upgraded their qualification for 3 years under the Professional Program of Professional Development of Local Self-Government Officials and Deputies of Local Councils.
From 21 July to 2 August, the Head of the Center Mykola Nazarov attended the Summer Euro-Atlantic Academy in Portugal. This year, the Academy was hosted by the Lisbon Military Academy, which was attended by about 50 security experts.
On August 1-2, 2019, experts from the National Institute for Strategic Studies visited Sumy (Sumy Oblast) during the implementation of the project "Security Passport of Ukraine: Regional and National Dimensions - 2019".
On September 11 a workshop on Ukraine-NATO: Partnership for Peace was held at the Center. Grigory Perepelytsia, International Security Policy Specialist, Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies conduct lecture on "NATO's Key Challenges, Values and Principles in Ukraine. The students also spoke with the First Secretary of the British Embassy in Ukraine, Mr. James Roed-Moore, and project experts.
