From the 4 to the 15 of July Mykola Nazarov, head of the Research Center for Regional Security, took part in the Fourth Warsaw Euro-Atlantic Summer Academy WEASA 2016. This time the themes of the meeting were regional policy, regional security and policy of the Eastern partnership.

During the work, numerous lectures, seminars, discussions with experts of the appropriate spheres were carried out. Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, Poland's Finance Minister (1989-1991); David Kramer, Director of Human Rights (Senior Director for Human Rights and Democracy) in the McCain Institute, 2010-2014 president of the organization "Freedom House"; Karen Donfrid, president of the German Marshall Fund; Madeleine Albright - US Secretary of State (1997-2001) and other American and European experts joined lecturing in Academy.

The participants of the Academy became 45 representatives of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus, who represent analytical centers, ministries, public organizations and other institutions of the States. The purpose of the event was to define the current approaches of the modern Euro-Atlantic community to regional development, including security and stability in the Eastern Partnership.

In addition to participating in the Academy, head of the Center also took part in discussing of the results of the NATO Summit, held on the 8-9 of July in Warsaw. Besides, you can get acquainted with the interview with David Kramer, with the comment of the senior researcher of the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Ukraine Valeriy Kravchenko, and the results of the Summit by Mykola Nazarov.
