The implementation of the Armed Forces command and control system C4ICR, that will be a real revolution in the security and defense sector is discussed within the framework of cooperation between NATO and Ukraine. Irina Friz, a chairman of the Verkhovna Rada regular delegation in  NATO Parliamentary Assembly declared this on a press conference on the topic: "NATO Help: strengthening the security and stability of Ukraine".

"Help NATO - is not only a financial and material resources, but is the establishment of a sufficiently high technological, administrative and resource level for further development of defense and security sector of Ukraine. It is the standards and efficiency requirements, which distinguish the 21th century from the 20th. For example, today we're also trying to talk about the need to introduce in the Ukrainian Armed Forces command and control system C4ICR (using computer technology - ed.) That would be a real revolution for our Armed Forces, "- Irina Friz said.

She noted, that the comprehensive package of aid from NATO to Ukraine, which was approved on July 9, is unprecedented since the times of Ukrainian independence. "The package includes 13 trunk lines, 40 sub-clusters, a cooperation with eight NATO trust funds and, thus provides an opportunity not only to talk about our Euro-Atlantic integration, but actually shows some results on the path of reforms", -Irina Friz said.

She reminded, that due to the cooperation with the Office of NATO and NATO experts a Strategic Defense Bulletin was formed, which today is a road map for the reform of the security and defense sector. In addition, it was an effective partnership with NATO and the its Office with respect to the concept of reforming the Security Service of Ukraine and the concept of Special Operations Forces (SOR). In particular, not only a model how will operate the SOF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been built, but an entire structural model of their future cooperation.

"Moreover, we can say, that thanks to the NATO training of our instructors and combat troops we have 4 battalion, which is about 2000 soldiers, and the preparation of the 5th Battalion is ahead of us. Thus, after two years in actual war, rather a huge work has been done, and we should know this, because when we are talking about intentions, we must also talk about certain results, and we do have them ", Irina Friz said. At the same time, she noted that the amount of aid, openness and readiness of the Alliance to expand our cooperation requires not only willingness from Ukraine to do something, but to act in the direction, which we have already agreed.

"That is, if we have done some work, especially in the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine, we have to complete it. That is, we have no right to stop and have no right to show some slowdown in the way of reforms. I am convinced of one thing: that the development of relations with NATO – is the mutual process, that is, we should say that we move in this direction, and there is no other alternative way ", - summed up the head of Regular Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly NATO.
