At the 24th of February 2016 at the Ukrainian Academy of Banking was the meeting of the Discussion Club "Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement: what myths should be dethroned and what it means for Sumy? ". Experts of Research Center for Regional Security - Nikolay Nazarov and Sergii Korol - joined the discussion.

Within the discussion organizers denominated well-known in society stereotypes and offered to discuss them critically. Among the main myths such were discussed: Association Agreement as Ukraine's accession to the EU; instantaneous improvement of people’s lives resulting from the signing of the Agreement; European integration as the exceptionally value choice and other. Speakers of the event were: Dmitry Lukyanets - Doctor of Law, processor V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Yuriy Petrushenko - Doctor of Economics, an international economics expert, Alexander Khorunzhenko - media expert, director of the Center for Regional Policy Studies, Juliana Kolomiets - professor of Charles University (Czech Republic). Moderator of the discussion was Alla Yarova.

The discussion took place in the circle of pupils - members of Sumy European Clubs and Sumy students. The youth showed a high level of interest to the declared subject and actively joined to discussion about stereotypes.
