On October 7 Congress Center of Sumy State University hosted a seminar to discuss the changes in security that are taking place in the world. Together with US military expert Ken RAKERS and NASU Professor Alexander POTIEKHIN, the university students discussed the impact of the pandemic on social and economic security, the US election, NATO's role in today's crisis world and Ukraine-US relations.

 

The moderator of the seminar, PhD Mykola NAZAROV noted: “Today, the world is undergoing powerful transformations caused by political, economic and epidemiological reasons. These changes affect all of humanity, as well as individual states". During the discussion, students presented their vision of current world processes and discussed with the speakers of the event.

The seminar was initiated by the Research Centre for Regional Security, in cooperation with the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies, the Institute of History, Law and International Relations of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
