1. Cooperation with the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine

In 2017, cooperation between Research Centre for Regional Security of Sumy State University and the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine has began. Each year, the Center receives organizational, financial and advisory support from NATO and serves as an information and contact center and research center, where comprehensive analytical, informational, advisory and other assistance can be obtained in cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.

 

2. Ukrainian-Estonian research project "Resilient Ukraine"

The center is a partner of a research project implemented in 2020-2022 and geographically covers such cities as Mykolayiv, Kherson, Mariupol, Sumy, Melitopol, Berdyansk, Nova Kakhovka, Henichesk, Skadovsk and Izmail. The program implements standards for measuring the resilience of society, promotes the resilience of communities in southern and eastern Ukraine to information influences, and creates professional horizontal links between Ukrainian and Estonian experts.

 

3. Development of a methodology for cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to combat money laundering

Researches of the Center participate in the implementation of a research project, the purpose of which is to study the impact of money laundering on the stability of the financial system and national security of Ukraine (registration number GDR 0120U100474).

 

4. Research of ways to improve the structure and level of employment of the population of redundant areas of Sumy region

Experts of the Center in partnership with the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Sociocultural Technologies of Sumy State University are executors of research project on the study of the labor market of Sumy region. The customer of the study is the Department of Social Protection of the Sumy Regional State Administration (agreement № 129 of 26.12.2018) with the financial support of the European Union.

 

5. Advanced training of civil servants and local government officials of Sumy region

The Center's experts cooperate with the Sumy Center for Postgraduate Education in training civil servants and job descriptions of local self-government. In particular, complexes of programs on thematic directions "European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine", "Implementation of changes in the conditions of reforms", "Strategic management and project management", "Time management and teamwork", "Fundamentals of critical thinking", "Access to public information ".

 

6. Political discussion club

The student research group "Political Discussion Club" was established on the basis of the Center in order to provide young people with a communicative platform for discussing current political and security issues. Pupils, students, post-graduate students and young scientists are invited to the discussions, as well as all those interested in discussing political, social, economic and security processes in Ukraine and in the world.
